Carlo De Carli – “Spider” table

Graduating in architecture in 1934, at the Polytechnic of Milan. He then went to work in the studio of the legendary architect and designer Gio Ponti. He then became a collaborator from 1940 as a triennial mediator, between handicrafts and furniture production. His designs are recognizable by promising the elements of a human presence, as he would put it “It is the relationship of the human form and design”.
His famous chair design, is among the 683 pieces of marketable unobtainable modern art. As well as his distinguishable Spider Table, that we want to talk about today.

A designer yet to be discovered

Paolo Buffa, an Italian designer yet to be discovered. He has designed and produced many neoclassic décor in the first 50 years of the 1900. His style is marked by the use of different woods, that are soft but firm in it’s own style. He trained with Gio Ponti, but soon took his way leaving his mark and unmistakable style/imprint, in the International market. He is currently one of the most sought after furniture designers.
